Preserving the History of South Mountain Community College
I have worked at South Mountain Community College for nearly a quarter of a century. Most of my tenure has been within the area of Instruction and Curriculum. My journey at SMCC started in 1981 when I was Secretary to the Math/Science Division. I traveled from positions as a Switch Board Operator, Secretary in a steno pool, to Secretary to the Dean of Instruction and finally as an Administrative Assistant to the V.P. of Academic Affairs.
Why my interest in creating an ePortfolio? The answer is simple. I am "family-oriented" by nature, enjoy dabbling in genealogy and scrap booking, and I have a strong desire to help to preserve the family history of South Mountain Community College. In this collection of ePortfolio pages I will attempt to share our history, reflect on the past and celebrate the present through a collection of slide shows, a history of KUDOS, time lines and a special tribute to friends lost.
Most importantly, I encourage all members of our South Mountain family to contribute stories in the web log (blog) as they reflect on eventful memories. This is our legacy. Let's leave something for future generations to reflect on and understand how we as the nucleus of the SMCC family nurtured and contributed to the heart and soul of our great campus. Everyone of us has woven a part of a great friendship quilt of memories!
