This is my site where I will share with you some of the experiences in my life, and open it up for you to communicate with me about yours. I am originally from Phoenix. I returned to Arizona in 2000 after being away some 40+ yrs. Shortly after I moved here I found out about the Library Technology Program at MCC and was very interested in getting an Advanced Certification. I did the program and I loved it. I have put up a sort of "Journal" of LBT classes. It will tell you a little about the classes I have taken and help you to decide if you would like to take those classes. Just remember that classes change, but this will give you an idea of what the classes are like. I did finish the program and finally received my certification. I am also hoping to get a job at a library. I am presently volunteering at the Hamilton Branch of the Chandler Public Library. I enjoy it very much.
I have been married for 23 years to the most wonderful man, Steven, and feel so blessed to have him in my life. We became grandparents for the first time on 8/7/05. Caleb Nathaniel was born at 3:30 am, 6 lbs, 18 in. and he is beautiful (see my blog). He is currently 3 years old. I speak Spanish and some Indonesian. (We lived on the island of Java for almost 5 yrs.) I love to travel, read and sing. I have been to Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sumatra, Bali, Alberta and British Columbia in Canada. (I hope to go to Europe soon.) I also want to visit every state in the U.S. (I have been to AZ, CA, FL, NM, NV, OR, TX, UT, WA. I also flew into Tennessee, drove across the river to Arkansas for a wedding, but that doesn't count because I didn't get to do any sight seeing.) I love Science Fiction and Fantasy (books, movies, and the SciFi channel) and I love to discuss them. I am part of the Springfield Sound, and I sing Soprano. I have been in several musicals, some at Desert Stages in Scottsdale.
