The South Mountain Community College Storytelling Institute consists of storytelling faculty who offer a Certificate Program in Storytelling, Events that occur throughout the Fall and Spring semesters, including a Spring Festival, Workshops, and Resources. LynnAnn Wojciechowicz is the Director, and she is assisted by full-time and part-time faculty members, along with a support group of volunteers called the Amigos. This electronic portfolio is intended to provide information regarding the history and philosophy of the Institute, the storytelling classes in the Certificate Program, the events and workshops planned for the current academic year, and a little about the people involved with the Institute. Hopefully, you will find the pull-down menus and electronic links easy to navigate.

Shoe Woman Magazine (http://www.shoewomanmagazine.com/) is a publication of the Shoe Woman's Network (SWN), dedicated to connecting people everywhere through the power of their life stories. The title originated from a safe, gentle means of self-expression and sharing that became the foundation of the SWN: decorating a pair of old shoes with symbols to illustrate your life - past, present and future.

Stories can be submitted to:stories@shoewomansnetwork.net When submitting their stories, authors should identify their affiliation with the Storytelling Institute.

Should you have any questions about the Storytelling Institute or this electronic portfolio, or if you are looking for a storyteller (student or professional), workshop, or presentation, please contact LynnAnn Wojciechowicz at 602-243-8022 or via e-mail at lynnann.woj@smcmail.maricopa.edu.
